"My personal, professional and spiritual goals in life are very similar, and they all involve trying to make our communities better places to live. Our cities should be inspiring places that teach people and enrich the human spirit. And our countryside should be close by to offer places of serenity and meditation. The crud that we dribble out along our major thoroughfares is an anathema to a healthy city, an insult to those of us that must see it every day. Through my artwork I hope to convey images of beautiful streets and places, and challenge the people of Charlotte-Mecklenburg to aspire to no less in our community."
