Mecklenburg County buyers of new
construction, homes, can check to see how well their builders
scored on construction code inspections. Online pass/fail rates are
available thanks to The Code Compliance Task Force, a partnership of
the Builders Council of the Home Builders Association of Charlotte,
the county's Code Enforcement Dept. and others. A single house faces
20 inspections during construction and the average failure rate is
27.6 %.
