Termites

Note:
Some pest control companies have been  requiring complete re-treatment to transfer a bond. This is not the norm. A good idea might be to check with the state licensing board or another one or two inspection/treatment companies.

The buyer may have a termite/carpenter ant inspection to determine the existence of infestation.
Some mortgage companies do not require an inspection. Touch all the bases, this is one inspection you always want to have unless you are buying on the twelve floor of a condominium or co-op.

Besides inspection for infestation, past or present...and past treatment, the inspector should note where damage is. A structural inspection will then address the integrity of the structure.

The termite inspection also reports the moisture levels which is critical. Termites love moisture.
