Why don't you call the site The Real Estate Lady.com because you are The Real Estate Lady and have been for years as far as I can remember?
I want the site to serve consumers. So if I named it after The Real Estate Lady...I thought it might be perceived as being more about me and sell, sell, sell or buy, buy, buy. What I want to do is share what I have learned about residential real estate and what I love about Charlotte NC.
PS We are cooking up something pretty nifty for The Real Estate Lady as well. Meanwhile, here's a link: The Real Estate Lady®

Are you a real estate broker? Do you work with buyers and sellers?
Yes. I am a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina. I work with buyers and sellers everyday. Email at lynnsy@therealestatelady

Are the condos in the database for sale or for lease?
Neither. Because I learned that market so thoroughly I thought it would be good for consumers to see what's out there. I even took pictures and made maps and checked records at the courthouse to find all of the oldies but goldies. There are over 600 complexes in our unique database. That's why we have the name "Condo CanDo®"! Our database is exclusively for our clients...part of our comprehensive service.

Why is the Quality of Life Report important?
These reports show a profile of a neighborhood. From vacant lots to rental property...educational as well as economical community profiles. We have maps showing boundaries on all of the City Within A City neighborhoods and we made individual maps for all others. We even made a special chart for each area comparing 2000 with 2002.

Where are the aerial photos? You moved them.
Under Real Estate Information on the main menu to Maps/Aerials on bottom left.

Do you have the sold/active information from Multiple Listing? Where are they?
Yes. We have a couple of presentations. One is in MLS Stats under Real Estate Information...you will find 2000, 2001 and 2002...and you will also find a different display with Real Estate Area Locator Maps. Here we separate residential statistics: single family from condos. You might also want to check Hoods, Zips and Sections...this section features Zip Codes, neighborhoods within and average selling prices. Note: When the Multiple Listing Service installed a new software, Tempo, the ability to produce statistics was greatly diminished. We are all working on improving this reporting feature. For a great overview of the market: visit Chuck Graham's section.

It seems silly to have the baseball players around. I don't get it.
Well, Mecklenburg County is in the shape of a ball field for starters. More importantly, I wanted a way to make real estate fun and for the site to be a teaching tool. I think it would be great for kids to have some idea of the process way before they start. It is one of the biggest purchases we all make and learning by doing seems less appropriate to me. Batter up!

Can you do electronic transactions? We both travel to different places every week and it's hard for us to look at the information together.
Definitely. We even build websites with digital photos, floor plans, data sheets and financials and make them available only to you. Many of my clients like this because we can narrow their prospects both with property and mortgage lenders. It's quick. It's easy and time efficient for everyone.

I don't see any ads. Will you ever have ads?
I did have a couple but it didn't feel right. I decided to focus on building the best content with the best maps and pictures and text and let the chips fall where they may. We may consider sponsorships because we like our clean look. Sponsorships would be in keeping with our focus on the consumer. Meanwhile, we received the commendation for The Best in North Carolina from the International Real Estate Guide.

I don't see any real estate for sale on your site. Why is that and will you ever?
I tried it but want to come up with a better representation. So while we don't right now, we may...as long as the section is compatible with our mission statement.
