Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, Eugene G. Payne,
drew Alotta andThe Charlotte Angels.
Gene won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartoons in
1967. In the same year, Gene won the Sigma Delta Chi Award given bythe national professional journalism society.

Gene began his cartooning career
with The Charlotte Observer in 1956.

Gene, Harriet and Winston are good friends
and enthusiastic cheerleaders.
Gene and Lynnsy met over forty years ago and have been friends ever since.

With sincere appreciation and love for their ceaseless support,
Gene and Harriet honor the team by being Angels, on and off the field.

Once you determine it’s a go, you’ll need:

1. To send as many photographs of the person as you can get your hands on.
(Yes, they will be returned.)

2. Make a note as to the color of hair and eyes

3. Make a list of hobbies, interests or peculiarities

4. Any ideas or suggestions as to what the person should be doing

5. If a company is involved, send the company logo; if a club, the insignia.

6. Please allow as much lead time as possible and be sure to include a due date.

7. Caricatures usually run around $325 plus $35 to cover shipping and handling.
